About Breast Lift Surgery
Revitalize Your Silhouette
A breast lift, or mastopexy, addresses sagging breasts by raising and reshaping them, providing a rejuvenated and youthful appearance.
Why Consider getting a breast lift?
A breast lift is ideal for patients who have experienced changes from breastfeeding and pregnancy, changes from weight loss, or simply have breast tissue and nipples that sit lower than desired. This procedure enhances the breast shape and position, improving confidence and comfort.
The Benefits:
Youthful Contour: Raises and reshapes sagging breasts for a more youthful appearance.
Enhanced Confidence: Alleviates self-consciousness about breast shape and position.
Customizable Results: Options to combine with implants for desired volume and shape.
What to Expect
Consultation: We will discuss your goals and evaluate if a breast lift or a combination with implants is right for you. We'll also talk about the best time for surgery, which should be at least 6 months after breastfeeding and when you are at your goal weight.
Procedure: The surgery involves an incision around the nipple and vertically down to the breast fold (like a lollipop). Some cases may also require a horizontal incision in the fold under the breast.
Recovery: Avoid strenuous physical activity that increases your heart rate or blood pressure for 2 weeks after surgery. Avoid heavy lifting greater than 20 pounds for 4 weeks after surgery.
Why Choose Dr. Meredith Kugar?
I utilize a “short scar” technique that often eliminates the need for a horizontal scar underneath the breast. This technique helps achieve a natural and aesthetically pleasing result, focusing on eliminating the heavy bottom part of the breast. My personalized approach ensures that every patient receives care tailored to their unique anatomy and aesthetic goals.
